In spite of the widespread authentic and inspired Japanese restaurants here in Kuala Lumpur, nothing hindered the coming of Munakata Japanese Restaurant. Established in the year of 1984, Munakata opened its doors for people desiring to have a taste of perfectly cooked Japanese cuisine.
At Munakata, all the dishes are crafted meticulously using only the freshest of ingredients to present patrons with simply the best of traditional Japanese cuisine. Some of the all-time favourites include Shishamo (grilled smelt fish), and Chawanmushi (Steam Egg) , Shira Ebi Karaage (deep fried Japanese glass shrimp).
Located conveniently at the Life Centre along Jalan Sultan Ismail, Munakata greets its patrons with a charming ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ inspired decor, from the wood furnishing, wall décor to oriental ornaments.
